I’m super happy with how this one turned out but boy, I think this was the hardest one so far! Translating lighting from white reference to black skin is an exercise in and of itself, as light is absorbed differently depending on how light or dark the skin is. Balancing the strong light from the bioluminescence on top of that proved to be a real challenge, and I’ve learned so much from working through it! I’ve found that while the sheen of light is smaller on darker skin (it absorbs more light) the saturation of color still spreads in a similar way. Don’t forget to paint today!
