Daughters of Liberty 18th C Fiber Arts Tent 2021 Festival in Port Angeles Wa HD 1080p
Tour the 2021 Fiber Arts Tent featuring 18th Century American Women's crafts by the Daughters of Liberty assembled in Port Angeles, Washington on the grounds of the Washington Lavender Farm. Activities for children and adults include hands on crafts with linen and wool, weaving on a small box loom, and a portable loom. A main feature is a full size replica of an 18th century floor loom and other tools of the trade. An 18th C Flax wheel and a Great Wheel are part of the experience. Examples are shown of bobbin lace, tapes and trims and samples of wool dyed natural colors. The focus is on education of our American women's effort in the struggle for independence from Great Britain
