Imperative, Declarative, and Functional Programming: A Perspective on Code Complexity and Efficiency
Programming falls into a handful of paradigms, often overlapping rather than squarely fitting into one. Though it has been around for a while, in recent years functional programming has gained some attention. In this presentation, we will take a look at three styles of programming, relationships between them, if any, and discuss the reasons to favor one over the other. After a short presentation by the speaker, participate in discussions, with the speaker and other developers in attendance, about your own experiences, concerns, and perspectives.
