Orange trees are beautiful and today I will share 7 facts about oranges, like where they come from, how many varieties are there and how they are harvested. Orange facts are fascinating: they probably come from China, and orange is a hybrid of mandarin and pomelo. The Arabs brought them to Middle East and then to Europe. In Spanish cities you can find annoying orange: bitter varieties are grown for decoration only, don't pick pavement oranges! Valencia oranges, are the only ones available in the summer. Funnily this variety was not first grown in Spain, but in California. In Valencia in Spain, there thousands of orange trees, still according to my orange facts, Spain is not the biggest orange producer in the world. It was a real privilege to spend some time among orange groves in beautiful Valencia.
