Inside Look - Somali Pirates
In April 2009, the American vessel Maersk Alabama was hijacked by Somali pirates. The hijackers immediately showed who was boss by pointing a machine gun at the ship's captain. Panic and nerves reigned. But then, about 20 of the crew glanced at each other and attempted to strike back at the Somalis.
