Speed up your editing with proxies
Today we are going to be speeding up that editing workflow of yours in Premiere Pro by using Proxies. This method is going to enable you to drastically speed up your workflow, regardless of the codecs or resolutions, 4k all the way up to 8k, even if you're using a slower, older computer, you will still be able to edit like butter.
Basically proxies create a second version of your footage at a much lower resolution so it is not as taxing on your computer. And then when you've finish and export your footage, Premiere swaps the footage back to the original clips so you have the high quality export.
