Should you wish to pursue an activity away from the Inn, you will find a beautiful world to explore just a few steps or minutes away. On property, Ventana has two heated swimming pools, each four feet deep and 75 feet in length, with adjoining bathhouses containing Japanese hot baths and sun decks, one with its own dry sauna. The bathhouse facility and one pool feature "clothing optional" areas and are open from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. The fitness room, with various exercise equipment, including Stairmaster, treadmill, free weights, and more.

Ventana Property Walk The best way to start any day at Ventana! Every morning, the Ventana guide leads a one-hour walk around the property. Guests learn about the property's history, Big Sur, and flora and fauna native to the area. Wildlife viewing may include California condors, eagles, Red-tailed Hawks, and a myriad of other birds. Trees and plants include California redwoods, bay laurel, rosemary, Dalmatian sage, chaparral, and Madeira's pride. During the migration season (December/January and April/May), whales can often be spotted from several property vantage points.
