What kind of lamp is best? Actually, the pure, kind, and sincere blessings from the heart are the most precious, and the deceased can often sense them.
If you already have a shrine for deities or Amitabha Buddha/Bodhisattva at home, you can recite the Buddha's name when lighting the lamp and dedicate the merit to Menglong.
If you don't have a shrine at home, you can also light lamps for Menglong at a temple near your residence. When lighting the lamp, say Menglong's name and tell him it's for him.
