In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet sausage dog applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colors (179) Topaz, (383) Ginger Gold and (222) Tulip. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends, a pair of scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the sausage dog together. Black cotton to embroider on the eye, mouth and nose.

The finished size will be 15.5cm wide x 9.5cm high (6” wide x 3.75” high) for the larger sausage dog, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the sausage dog in Catona will be 12.5cm wide x 9cm high (5” wide x 3.5” high). The medium sausage dog will be 11cm wide x 6.5cm high (7” wide x 2.75” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small sausage dog will be 7.5cm wide x 5cm high (3” wide x 2” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
