It's also common to use the 24-hour clock format in Germany, where the hours are simply stated without AM or PM. For example, "15:30" would be read as "Fünfzehn Uhr dreißig" (15 hours 30 minutes).

2:00: Zwei Uhr
12:00: Zwölf Uhr

X:05: Fünf nach X (For example, 3:05 is "Fünf nach drei.")
X:10: Zehn nach X (For example, 4:10 is "Zehn nach vier.")
