Today we're going to talk about the Android Development Environment, an integrated set of tools to help you create your own Android applications. In our last lesson, I introduced you to the Android platform. I talked about how the Android platform is a software stack for building and running mobile applications. And if you've used an Android device, to write email, to take photos, to get directions to some location, to play games, and so on, then you've seen the Android platform in action and you know what it can do.
