How to clear fivem cache 2025 (Full Guide)
What this does:
This clears old cache files so FiveM can load faster and reduce lag.
Before you start:
• Close FiveM completely
• Also close Steam or Rockstar if they are running
Steps:
Press Windows key + R to open the Run box
Type %localappdata% and press Enter
Open the FiveM folder
Open FiveM Application Data
Open the data folder
Delete these three folders: cache, server-cache, server-cache-priv
Empty your Recycle Bin
Restart your PC
Open FiveM again
Join a server and let it load. First load may take a bit longer while new cache builds
Tips if you still see lag:
• Update your graphics drivers
• Close background apps you do not need
• Turn off overlays like Discord, GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar
• In Windows Graphics Settings, set FiveM to High Performance
Note:
Only delete the three folders listed above. Do not remove other files.
