VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files but in this video we show how to record desktop screen with VLC media player, yes we can also use this vlc player for screen recording.

1. open your VLC media player and click on ‘Media’ in the menu bar
2. select ‘Open Capture Device’
3. Select Desktop next to the Capture mode.
4. write 25.00 f/s, ‘under Desired frame rate of the capture’.
5. select Convert on clicking ‘Play’ button
6. choose the destination of the video file by clicking on ‘Browse’
7. Then click on Save.
8. Now click on ‘Start’ Button. Your screen recorder is ready and up
9. once done, Click on the Stop
