As requested, skaven vs lizzies! And I'm pleased to show off one of the new stadiums, the ship! (looks awesome) In fact I'm thinking of uploading short videos to show the four new stadiums since you don't get to see them (normally) in campaigns for the time being.

I think this was my team's sixth game. Been having a lot of trouble growing my roster since I keep getting important players killed or seriously injured (-1 STR, -1 Move, -1 AGI, etc) which forced me to throw out the gimped rats.

So coming into this game, I was down to 10 players (my best rat was injured and could not play) and was apprehensive towards facing the quick and powerful lizardmen. Now on the positive side, they only had three sauruses and no kroxigor which gave me a fighting chance.

The first half, the AI only made one serious mistake which led to a turnover. The second half it went back to its bad habits though and it showed.

I thought I'd get out of there smelling like roses but towards the end, they got to The Big Cheese... Not fun =)

So the skaven: awesome team which will make you cackle maniacally and curse fecoriously. Fast yet still good at bashing, pretty good at passing and the only team that can actually score a one turn touchdown with the proper level ups and a bit of luck. The flip side being that they're not durable... at all.

You can score in moments but of course that can be counterproductive if it leaves enough time for slower teams to score themselves, leading to draws and even losses.

Usually, you'll want to avoid leaving too many rats in blocking range while your gutter runners get past the defensive line. Their big guy, the rat ogre, is pretty nice but certainly a bit fragile considering its size. Their stormvermins are very good players and a nice source of pain for the opponent. Gutter Runners have the highest movement in the game (9) and can potentially go up to 11, not to mention a potential +3 Go-For-Its with the right skills and mutations.

Of course this means that the adversary will home on them and try to injure your best scorers. Throwers only have 3 agility though so you'll be crossing your fingers for a +AGI level up.

So to summarize, try to avoid too much confrontation and keep your thrower out of reach while gutter runners find a soft spot in the defense. On defense, use the 'bend but don't break' strategy and wait for an opening to blitz the ball carrier (or pick off the catchers in your backfield).

Skavens can be used by rookies but they'll likely cause a bit too much frustration to be a viable first team to pick. After all, the Great Horned Rat giveth and the Great Horned Rat taketh away. Lots of ups and downs with this team.

The lizardmen can't really claim to have a passing game... all their strong players have pitiful agility and the smaller ones have -1 to pass. The sauruses are good players but take a while to level up while the Kroxigor is a decent big guy with the usual strengths and weaknesses. He'll go dumb on you at the worst moment possible =)

Skinks appear pretty weak and useless but they're extremely dangerous with their stunty skill and great movement stat. Definitely one of the more annoying teams to cover, but held back by the sheer number of skinks that must be used.

Certainly an interesting team to play, but more for veterans than anyone else.

Enjoy the game and the stadium =)
