How to re-enable the desktop cube and compiz in Unity ubuntu 11.04 32bit

try this if you want to just use classic with a downgraded compiz from 10.10

first thing you need to do is to set your desk top login to "show the screen for choosing who will log in" if you fail just login to ubuntu classic with out FX,open up your terminal and add the 2 lines one at a time.
gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/compiz-1
gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/compizconfig-1
this will reset compiz and all of its settings.
after you add all the plugins you need type
compiz --replace
log out and back in.
if you get the cube up and going,and now you want the drop shadow back hold "Alt+f2" now type "gconf-editor" now go to
/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options
right click on "active_plugins" and add imgpng now that you have add this you need to bring it up to the top of the list bye clicking the up button.
your desktop will crash,now press "ctrl+alt+del" use the arrow keys to restart your system,when you login your shadow will be there.
if you want to add mouse wheel switching go to viewport switcher/desktop based viewport switching/
move next button5

also install "compiz config settings manager" and "compiz fusion plugins extra"
tested on intel hardware.
