Rlaarlo Speed Challenge 2024 - a disastrous end to my entry for this year.
Sickness and work commitments meant I didn't get as much time as I would have liked to set up and test my car before the run. My 767 would not power on correctly, one ESC kept shutting down.
The 917 did run but was very skitterish, which I believe was due to the contaminated tyres. On closer inspection, it looked like they had oil on them. Most likely shock oil had escaped from the car on the shelf above and had dripped down onto the shelf where the 917 was. Again had I had time to do a full inspection I think this could have been avoided. Oh well. It is what it is. Maybe next year if Rlaarlo does another competition. But, I will be re-preparing the cars and doing some runs in it to keep my ego intact.
