We are trying our hand at scribing today. The best way to get a board, or mantel in this case to fit to an uneven wall is to "scribe" it. You can use a drawing compass or an actual scribing tool in order to do this and I am going to show you both ways. Adding a hardwood oak mantel is a great way to really step up your fireplace and make it more styled as your own.
