Writer's Journey:
As a survivor of childhood trauma and someone who continues to wrestle with PTSD and anxiety, creating "Strays" was a deeply personal and emotionally purifying process for me. The chapter of my life that inspired this song is called "Small Screaming Animals," a reference to the silent witnesses to my pain—the birds and animals I imagined would cry out in sorrow for the innocent boy I once was.
Through this video, I want to convey a message of empathy, hope, and the importance of community and support. No one should have to navigate these feelings alone, and it's my wish that this song can provide solace and a sense of connection to those who need it most.
