GateKeep: An automated approach for visitor management system using Vehicle number plate recognition
We are a group from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering. We tried to develop an automatic approach for the Visitor Management system in which we used computer vision technologies like Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). We use algorithms like You Only Look Once(YOLO) for object recognition(in our case the vehicle number plate). We also used character recognition algorithms to get the textual data from the image. We connected it with the APIs, database, and ultimately to the frontend to get a feel of the complete product. We also have different roles, which are the admin role and resident role at the client/user end of the project.
