How to Add Censors to Videos - DaVinci Resolve 16 Tutorial
In today's tutorial we're going over adding censors in DaVinci Resolve 16. Everything from tracking blurred mouths and faces, to static and tracked graphics within Fusion to fit your needs for whatever project you're working on. There's no perfect way to do things just different solutions for different situations and my goal for this video is to arm you with a number of solutions so you know how to problem solve when you have to do something like this on your own projects.
Notes:
These are tools I use all the time that extend far beyond just censorship. Being able to track graphics into a scene is a key step in starting VFX as things continue in complexity. Over the next few months I will dive deep into Fusion. As I try to learn more about it myself I find there's not a ton of great resources on youtube. Especially with more advanced effects, with many videos being clear the presenter doesn't fully understand what they're talking about (there are some good ones though!). My goal withing the next year is to learn more about fusion and start creating tutorials that cover a higher level of complexity, but it'll take time. I never want to teach something until I feel confident that I know it inside and out, because there's a big difference between knowing how to do something and being able to explain how it works.
