3D-printing Tutorial: How to calibrate your extruder
Warning: Clickbait title. In this video I'd like to elaborate why I think extruder calibration is not the best thing to do when your perfectly fine extruder running with stock esteps is giving deviating results when extruding set amounts of filament. In this video I'm trying to say that most likely, the biggest factor in these deviations is the filament you are using.
I received some backlash on this video when I posted it on some social media channels.
Let me clarify, this video is aimed at those who are running extruders from reputable brands with known E-step values. If a manufacturer says that you need 180 esteps, You need 180 esteps. If you don't extrude the right amount of filament with the settings the manufacturer tells you, something else is at fault.
