🚀 Do containers really have performance overhead?
In this video, we benchmark Distrobox with Podman against native execution on Nitrux Linux to find out.
We run Sysbench CPU, threads, mutex, memory, and disk I/O tests, and also analyze Firefox memory usage inside a container and natively. The container uses a Debian Trixie Slim OCI image, while Nitrux acts as the host system.
📊 The results may surprise you — Distrobox shows excellent performance with almost zero overhead, even outperforming native execution in some CPU and concurrency tests.
