There are two approaches that we normally use to run Hydraulic Modeling in EPANET, demand-Dependent Analysis (DDA) and Pressure Dependent Analysis (PDA).

In this EPANET Tutorial we are going to learn what is demand-Dependent Analysis (DDA) and Pressure Dependent Analysis (PDA)! And how to use them in Hydraulic modeling!

Demand-Dependent Analysis (DDA) assumes nodal flows (Q) are always satisfied at all demand nodes regardless of the available pressures at demand nodes.

While Pressure Dependent Analysis first considers network, as it is second, then determines the demand/flow at each node according to the available pressure.
