Downtown Calgary creates a beautiful night cityscape. The office buildings tower from the river bottom glowing. This energy spreads to the residential neighbourhoods that raise around the downtown core. This energy creates special atmosphere for a city skater.
The making of this video was particularly exciting for me. We had been planning this video for a couple weeks. We scouted the locations and rented camera gear capable of shooting in such low light. The skating was however, impromptu; guided by the energy of the city. A perfect combination of planning and free-styling.
