To be an effective designer today, you need tools to quickly develop your designs and accurately communicate them to all project stakeholders.

Watch this Seattle Revit User Group (seaRUG) video as we are joined by Joseph Freund of Microsol Resources, and Ehsan Iran Nejad of McNeel the developers of the Rhino software and both Rhino and Revit experts.

They show the best practices and sample workflows for creating and exporting design data between Rhino, Revit, and external files from early design and model exploration to further refinement and documentation using Revit, also known as Rhino.Inside.Revit. During the video, you will:

Learn the basics of creating a Revit Family Type with Rhino Geometry, via Rhino.Inside.Revit, and place instances within a model.
Understand how to read design data on Revit elements from Rhino.Inside.Revit components, using Filters to isolate elements.
Use Python or panels in Grasshopper to write Revit data to a local directory or shared network drive.
Utilize Grasshopper Player to build out a set of tools/definitions that can be deployed within your organization
