Currently, Sonic.exe fangames are getting rather bland and repetitive, although I liked this one a little more than the rest. But that doesn't change the fact that, like many of the more recent fangames, it's a bit too heavily inspired by Knuckles.exe: The Emerald's Curse. It's not wrong to take some inspiration from other games (everyone does it), but don't forget that originality is what makes a project successful. (I learned this the hard way, so I know why I'm telling you all this.)"

MonsterX Says: "This game is a special case; it sought to draw inspiration from Knuckles.exe The Emerald's Curse, like many recent fangames, the original creator saw it, got angry, and the game was removed from GameJolt (and later re-uploaded by someone else).
It's a clear example that stealing code and/or ideas to make your game relevant isn't worthwhile if you don't put in at least a little effort.
