After installing the modified springs, a problem arose shortly afterward. Specifically, during a routine inspection following testing, it was suspected that the springs were shifting along the cushion. It was decided to remove the strut for inspection. This was confirmed. Indeed, the upper support coil had shifted from its mounting location. The cause of this remains to be determined.
