Welcome to Class 6 in the ATPL Principles of Flight series.
The way a wing is designed is based off trying to find the perfect balance between correct lift with minimal drag. There are other choices to be made depending on the type of flying intended such as gliding or in fast jets.
In this class we will look at the reasons for some of these choices and also the basic components of a wing used by designers to describe the shape.
