Here's how to enable and disable background app refresh for specific apps on your iPhone.

Background App Refresh allows apps to update their content in the background, even when you're not actively using them. While this feature can be beneficial for some apps, it can also drain your battery life and consume unnecessary data for others. By enabling or disabling this feature selectively, you can have more control over which apps can refresh their content in the background.

Follow the steps below to enable or disable background app refresh for specific apps on iPhone:
1: Unlock your iPhone and go to the home screen.

2: Locate and tap on the "Settings" app. It has an icon that resembles gray gears.

3: In the Settings menu, scroll down and tap on the "General" option. It is represented by a gray gear icon.

4: Within the General settings, scroll down again and select the "Background App Refresh" option. It should be near the bottom of the list.

5: On the Background App Refresh screen, you will see a toggle switch at the top. This switch allows you to enable or disable Background App Refresh for all apps simultaneously. If you want to turn off Background App Refresh for all apps, simply toggle the switch to the left, and it will turn gray. If you want to enable it, toggle the switch to the right, and it will turn green.

6: However, if you want to customize the Background App Refresh setting for specific apps, leave the main toggle switch in the "On" position (green). This will allow you to individually enable or disable the feature for each app.

7: Scroll down the screen, and you will see a list of all the apps installed on your iPhone. Each app will have a toggle switch next to it.

8: To disable Background App Refresh for a specific app, simply tap on the toggle switch next to that app. The switch will turn white, indicating that Background App Refresh is disabled for that particular app.

9: If you want to enable Background App Refresh for a specific app, tap on the toggle switch again, and it will turn green, indicating that Background App Refresh is now enabled for that app.

10: Repeat steps 8 and 9 for each app you want to customize. Once you have finished customizing the Background App Refresh settings for your apps, you can exit the Settings app.

Remember that disabling Background App Refresh for certain apps can help conserve battery life and reduce data usage, especially for apps that don't require constant updates in the background.
