The Hill-Start Assist System enables the vehicle to startup on a ramp without using the hand brake. When the right foot is away from the brake pedal, the vehicle can continue to maintain its braking status for a few seconds, allowing the driver to easily move his foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal, thus preventing the vehicle from slipping.
