"Be a doctor."

How many times have you heard this growing up? Especially if you come from an Asian family. It's as if that is the ONLY career option available.

Ultimately it is our choice what career we decide to pursue, but with so many factors such as personal experiences, family, and culture influencing the way we think, you have to wonder whether or not the choices you make are actually yours!

In this video, I reflect on why I wanted to become a doctor, specifically how my brother's brain tumor and growing up Asian influenced my career decision, and how my thinking has changed today.

I hope it inspires people to think more deeply about whether or not what they're doing is fulfilling, making a positive impact, and in line with their higher purpose.
