Gerardo Catena: The Man Who Replaced Vito Genovese
Jerry Catena became the underboss of the Genovese crime family in the 1950s. When Don Vito was imprisoned, he decided to appoint Catena and two other top family members to form a leadership panel for the organization. Catena was later accused of being a puppet of Carlo Gambino. Gerardo Catena was so wealthy that he made the Forbes list.
