❓ Answers to questions you may have after watching the video:
1) The entire flight lasted 6 hours and 27 minutes 🕔
2) The flight was controlled by air traffic controllers 👨✈️, so we could NOT have collided with an airplane.
3) Dmitry Petrovsky, to whom we dedicated the flight, was the founder of the Kislovodsk Gliding Aeroclub and the pioneer of its mountain flights. He passed away due to illness shortly before this flight, which he so dreamed of.
4) We have pieces of film glued to the inside of the glass to prevent ice from forming in those areas.
5) Gliding training costs about 250,000 rubles and takes several months if you fly every weekend.

In the mountains, winter, spring, summer, and autumn have updrafts: thermals, wave currents, and dynamic flow currents.

The string shows whether the glider is slipping relative to the air. If you make an uncoordinated turn—for example, if you bank but don't turn the tail fully—the glider will start slipping to one side and its descent will increase because part of the wing will be in the shadow of the fuselage and won't generate lift. ;)
