Windows 11 out of the box is bloated, slow, and stuffed with AI nobody asked for. Do a fresh install, and you're already dealing with tracking, Copilot, Recall, widgets, preinstalled junk, and ads in the Start menu.
You've probably tried to fix that with utilities like Chris Titus WinUtil, O&O ShutUp10, or some other debloat script off GitHub. They all do something, but none of them are the fastest or the best way to do this, and neither of them touch the areas that actually matter for gaming.
Because removing apps isn't optimization. Those tools strip bloat and stop there. They don't touch scheduling, interrupt handling, timer resolution, or anything that decides how your frame times actually behaves. You end up with a cleaner Windows that still stutters anyway.
This video shows how bad Windows 11 really is on a clean install, what those tools leave behind, and the faster method we use instead: FSOS-X, an AME Wizard playbook that does the debloat and the performance work in one pass, while keeping the essential Windows features you use.
If you just built a PC or bought a new laptop, do this first.
DISCLAIMER: All apps mentioned above, including our own playbook, make deep system changes. Don't run random tools that you don't have a good understanding of. Create a restore point and use at your own risk.
