The video is meant for people that have a gotten experience with using Figma to follow through with it easily. But If you are a total beginner and would like to go through this video, I'd recommend you firstly learn some basic design concepts like:
Using and Blending Colour
Understand how shadows work and how it is a basis of illusion.
