This week we show a simple concept to safely defend against wild punches in a street fight. Switch the focus from high to low in your self defence strategy. People often forget about leg attacks. ► One way to fight someone stronger or bigger than you may be to attack their knees with a stomp kick. Stomp kicks are effective in Self Defence as well as in mixed martial arts as well. You only have to look at any Jon Jones fight to see how effective his famous oblique (stomp) kick at his opponents knees.

Yet this is a key kicking attack in the Wing Chun, and often underestimated by many in the martial arts or self defence community. It is quite literally stops people in their tracks if you can get the timing right. Especially if you wear shoes. Better yet you can drop a bigger stronger attacker with some ease if you have the skill to focus your Wing Chun kicks on the knee joint.

1 SIMPLE TRICK that Wins Fights Fast | BEST DISTRACTION TECHNIQUE EVER! This is only for Self Defence. Please don’t use this idea against an innocent victim. This is only for you to defend yourself.

When someone squares off against you in an argument or a fight they are vulnerable to a short KICK to the Shin. Partly because the distance is close quarter, but also because the kick is simply out of sight, people just don’t see it coming. In this instant you can literally knock someone down.

In this week’s ‘how to fight science’ video we look at a simple method of distracting your attacker in self defence and then using a short distance kick to disable your attacker in self defence. It’s highly effective, but we suggest that you practice hitting with one kick on a heavy bag to piece of timber over a short distance to develop knock down power.
