Pediatric Intussusception Emergency (Bowel Obstruction)
Intussusception of the small bowel into the large bowel is a life threatening cause of bowel obstruction in infants. On occasion these patients present almost comatose and altered. This video demonstrates such a presentation of bowel intussusception in a 7 month old female just before Christmas. The intussusception was successfully reduced with an air contrast enema and the patient is doing very well.
