By downloading the new Sony A7IV firmware V1.01 you are ensuring that you have the latest software that is optimised for the camera. I always recommend to download latest firmware of any camera, lens or product that you have to keep up with the current updates in making it better.
This does address a couple of issues people have been having with auto focus performance. I personally have not experienced this although I haven't need to do many portrait photoshoots recently.
Optimising the stability of the camera is the interesting one. Does this help with overheating issues people have been having? Or is it still user error to some degree? Best to update and see how it goes for you.
Yes, I did add a section in there with the Nitecore sensor cleaning kit. I had been using this for a while now and i always clean my sensor before every major shoot with any camera. Nothing worse than trying to fix it in post.
Invest in a cleaning kit and keep maintaining your gear. Every pro will recommend cleaning your sensor.
