Apparently CA glue and charcoal powder does bond somewhat well to falcon stem’s black plastic material. A stem button rebuild worked very well for this recently manufactured falcon stem. I’ve been told falcons are nylon these days. The material is somewhat flexible and almost self lubricating like delrin, leaving a fairly slippery feel on my clenching teeth. The sanding dust produced is almost white and non-sulfuric (unlike vulcanite), however the thin nylon does not snap in a brittle way like Acryllic. After sawing off the original button, I roughly sanded and scored with a razor blade the new button area to help with the bond.
This Calabash Pipes World meerschaum Falcon bowl was available on eBay with many other CPW Falcon bowls. About $60 with shipping from Turkey (takes about 2 weeks to arrive for me). This is my 3rd new Calabash Pipes World meer purchase, and I’d recommend them for well priced meers.,
