In this video, "COFFIN BIRTH" will discuss the storyline of the film "Prison of War" (2025). An action film set during the Battle of Bataan in World War II, British Wing Commander James Wright (played by Scott Adkins) is shot during an air mission in the Philippines and subsequently captured by Japanese forces.
He is then sent to a Japanese-controlled prisoner-of-war camp, where he and other prisoners face brutal conditions: forced labor, physical abuse, and a "death match" imposed by the camp guards for their own amusement.
A former pilot and martial arts expert, Wright uses his fighting skills to survive—and gradually motivates his fellow prisoners to resist oppression. Together with his fellow prisoners, he plots a high-risk escape when the opportunity arises.
This story highlights the physical and mental struggles amidst the "hell" of the war camp: not just about survival, but also about courage, solidarity among prisoners, and the desire to return to freedom.
