I decided to flash Tasmota on my Useelink Tuya based water shutoff valve. Through the research I did before performing the flash, I found out that this particular clone had not been flashed before, so there was no documentation as to what parameters to configure. I just took the plunge and went for it.
Warning: After flashing Tasmota, you will no longer be able to configure it using Smart Life app. You will only be able to connect to the shutoff valve using Tasmota. It will no longer be connected to the Tuya server.
The actual process of loading Raspbian on a Raspberry Pi and installing Tuya Convert is not included in this video. There are many videos available, and I would recommend BurnsHA's video found here:    • PRODUCT REVIEW: Zemismart WIFI Water Shuto...  .
After flashing Tasmota, set up Wifi and then use the following settings to configure the module:
https://templates.blakadder.com/jinvo... for Jinvoo SM-AW713 v2 Valve. This Jinvoo valve configuration was the only one that worked.

If you by any chance mis-configure it and get locked out, do not despair, you can reset it even if the button doesn't actually work. Just plug and unplug it from the mains about 5 times in quick succession and it should reset. Mine did, I thought I had lost it but after performing the reset procedure, I was able to see the Tasmota Wifi Hotspot again, was able to connect to it and started the entire setup process once again.
Anyway, if you have any questions regarding this Tuya based water shutoff valve, feel free to ask them here. I will try my best to help. Also, view my other shutoff valve videos for automation ideas.
