Older Japanese people in particular often associate us Germans with World War II and the Tripartite Pact. Therefore, it can happen that Japanese people talk to you about it and even think that the alliance at the time was good or believe that a possible third war would be won. I, at least, have often met Japanese people who thought something like that. What are your experiences? However, things are often a little different with younger Japanese people. They generally don't know much about the war and seem more or less indifferent.
