"Diana" TV Intro
Five years after the end of her run on "The Avengers," British actress Diana Rigg starred in a short-lived American sitcom, NBC's "Diana." It debuted on September 10, 1973, and found her playing Diana Smythe, a divorced fashion coordinator who moves from London to New York City and takes up residence in her brother’s Grand Central Station of an apartment. TV Guide said, “Amid all the confusion, the star of the show, Diana Rigg, stays cool, calm and comely.” That might have been the most praise the series received. The show was cancelled after 15 episodes, the last of which was broadcast on January 7, 1974.
