I’m excited to say I’m getting more comfortable painting skin tones that are different from the reference I’m using! Translating references to different skin tones can be really tricky because white, black, and brown skin all interact with and absorb light differently, which affects the size, intensity, and sharpness of the shadows and highlights. I’m really happy with how this one turned out, and am looking forward to leaning into more skin tone varieties in the future!
