How-To Disable or Remap the Essentials Button on the Nothing Phone 3!
The Essentials button on the Nothing Phone 3 seemed useful in theory, but in reality… I haven’t found a reason to use it, and I’ve pressed it accidentally more times than I can count. In this video, we'll be using some ADB commands, the Button Mapper app, and Accessibility Services to show you how to disable or remap it to something more useful!
While we are demonstrating this on the Nothing Phone 3, this method has been tested and works across several other devices in the lineup.

Nothing Phone (3a) Lite
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro

ADB Commands:
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.nothing.ntessentialspace
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.nothing.ntessentialrecorder
If you change your mind and want to revert to the original behavior, just run these two commands in ADB.
adb shell pm enable com.nothing.ntessentialspace
adb shell pm enable com.nothing.ntessentialrecorder
