Short tutorial: how to add eye glow effect (scene lighting) to your vtuber model!
This is the in-app method.
1. In the camera menu in settings, scroll down and toggle on display lighting by selecting the monitor number you want to use for input color. Adjust your settings!
2. Go to the model settings menu, and select 'customize model,' then select 'customize scene lighting for artmeshes.' Any artmesh you want to be bright you can move the slider to the LEFT. There is a search bar in the bottom!
3. To toggle on/off, you can make two hotkeys, each for 'screen overlay.' Record your current lighting settings for the "ON" button, then go back to the camera menu and toggle it off. After that, go to hotkeys and record the 'empty' settings for the "OFF" button.
I have a full tutorial on YouTube about adding a dynamic backlight using OBS, but maybe I will also do a quick tutorial on VtubeStudio's native lighting as well. It's not bad (but for me I wish it was a bit more interesting to look at).
