Blue Flames Erupt at the Kilauea Volcano

During Kilauea's 2018 eruption, blue flames were recorded being emitted from underneath a road. This was not a case of igniting native sulfur, nor was it the ignition of a natural gas line. Instead, it had a different cause which this video explains. #geology #volcano #short #shorts #volcano

Note: Kilauea (including its summit caldera, southwest rift zone, and east rift zone) is not erupting as of September 21st, 2023. The footage shown in this video was filmed on May 22nd 2018.
