This video was produced by the Odessa Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on March 11, 2022, due to the impossibility of holding scheduled training seminars during wartime. Investigative bodies, including the Odessa Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, continue their work.
The video was prepared by Margarita Olegovna Zhuravleva, Head of the Department of Psychological and Other Research at the Odessa Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, Lecturer in the Department of Forensic Science and Psychology at the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, and Candidate of Psychological Sciences.
"The best thing I can do for you during wartime is to share my knowledge, because you never know if I'll have that opportunity tomorrow."
The video was prepared for investigators and anyone else who needs to conduct interviews and record them on video.
This is relevant during wartime, given the large number of video recordings of prisoners that have appeared online, but most are unsuitable for psychological evaluation. Let's hope that an examination will not be necessary in these cases.
Only high-quality recording of the interrogation on video allows for a forensic psychological examination of such a video recording. Let's look at the requirements for video, consider the main psychological criteria for the quality of video recording of an interrogation.
The following is expected by expert psychologists when conducting a ship psychological examination of video recordings:
1. What psychological features are involved in the process of creating a special situation and environment (based on video recordings of surveillance activities carried out with the participation of this individual)?
2. What is the psychological characteristic of the communicative activity of an individual (name, name from her father’s name) in the process created by her (indicate which ones) under the hour of conduct (indicate the date) for her participation in the observation activities (following the video recording materials of the assigned surveillance activity)?
3. What psychological peculiarities are revealed in the individual’s behavior that are powerful for her independent (non-independent) creation of songs under the hour of her participation in a particular investigative activity?
4. There are signs of a psychological impact on her in the video recording of the situation (date of conduct) for the participation of the individual (name, name and father’s name) in addition to the individuals who took part in the conduct given this trace?
