Check out my new Milky Way Course, which has over 60 videos that will teach you how to take amazing nightscape images:

In today's video we'll take a look at my first Milky Way photos, ranging from 2014 - 2016. Surprisingly, they don't look as bad as I would've thought. The images are fairly grainy, the stars aren't 100% sharp, but the data isn't terrible. This just goes to show that you don't need the latest and greatest camera gear to take a nice Milky Way photo.

However, I do recommend getting a star tracker at some point. These devices will move your camera with the speed of the stars, allowing you to capture more light. I've got plenty of YouTube videos that will teach you how to use them as well.
