Why do we need a test automation framework?
For running our individual test cases in batch. If you have hundreds of test cases we can not go ahead and run those individually, this is were a test automation framework comes in
Also used to maintain automated test cases, error debugging, reporting of test results, store and use of data, bulk run test cases, scheduling test runs and reporting and much more
There are various components that make up a robust test automation framework and there are;
TestNG
Data Driven Testing
Maven
Jenkins
Test Automation Reports
Log4j
Page Object Model
We need in dept knowledge on all the above components to be able to build and have good understanding of a robust automation test framework
So lets start by stepping through the first component with a practice video, see next video coming out soon
